
Marina, The Learning Arc Founder & Director
Marina is an educator with experience in various teaching and learning settings. Marina began her career in recruitment and marketing, has had short periods in journalism and creative writing. She was involved in the ‘Recruit Smarter’ project at the Centre for Ethical Leadership, The University of Melbourne, helping to develop inclusive recruitment practices and address unconscious bias in recruitment.
More recently, she has been involved in both national and international projects at the University of Melbourne including with ministries of education in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Singapore. Marina worked has worked in Vietnam on Competency Based Education workshops as well as teaching English in Cambodia and across Southeast Asia. She is also currently coaching and mentoring students at the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology at The University of Melbourne. She has experience managing a variety of different programs in education and worked at various international schools as an English Teacher. She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Journalism) from Monash University, a CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) and is set to complete her Master of Education (MEd) from The University of Melbourne specialising in Global Education Policy and Leadership and Management.
She has extensive experience as a teacher, researcher and education manager. Marina has been passionate about personalised learning and understands that every student is unique with their own set of distinctive skills.
